In an effort to provide peace of mind as you plan or prepare for your upcoming trip to beautiful Hampton, VA, we want you to be aware of additional precautionary steps the Magnolia House Inn staff is taking to help minimize the spread or transmission of bacteria or viruses at our property.
We have always used great care in providing a clean and sanitized environment for our guests. WE LIVE ON SITE and assure guests that we are diligent in providing as clean, safe and germ/virus-free environment as we possibly can.
All staff who are sick or feeling as if they are getting sick are instructed to stay home and not come into work.
Housekeeping staff are regularly applying hospital grade disinfectant/virucide cleaners to all touch surfaces throughout our common areas and public restrooms daily.
Antibacterial soap is available to guests in our guestrooms and public restrooms.
Housekeepers routinely disinfect touch surfaces throughout the room to include the TV remotes, door and drawer handles, light switches, bathroom fixtures, furniture armrests, and guestroom key tags using a hospital grade germicidal/virucidal solution. Laundry wash cycles are regularly checked to ensure that linens and towels are properly sanitized.
All staff have been instructed to wash hands much more frequently than industry standard and use hand sanitizer as often as needed.
All HVAC filters are changed on a more frequent basis.
The kitchen is routinely cleaned with bleach and hand washing consistently used. Gloves are used per protocol. All Va. Health Dept. Standards are followed.
We feel we have a healthy supply of antibacterial soaps, hand sanitizer, gloves, and disinfectant sprays and solutions to meet our needs for the foreseeable future. We are also continually educating ourselves on the current situation and are open to other ideas and suggestions to help reduce our guests’ and staff’s exposure to any potential illness.
